We were the happy recipients of a giveaway from Whippersnapper and Ponsonby News. We received a fabulous Merino Adventure Hoodie which our daughter has worn constantly through all the winter months and to keep her warm at Snow Planet recently. We are impressed with the quality of the garment and very happy that it is New Zealand made. Customer feedback from Canada and the USA on our new merino ski range!

The kids loved the whippersnapper name and by all accounts the new ski range worked well in the cold weather (below freezing up the mountain). Both kids typically had a base layer (Icebreaker) then the Whippersnapper [New “Champion” Longsleeve merino tops] on top of that, a zipped-in jacket fleece and then ski jacket on top. High up the mountain it was minus 10 Celsius some days and all went well. Jessica loved the [New “Adventure" merino] hoodie and wouldn’t take it off. She substituted the zipped-in jacket fleece for the Whippersnapper hoodie so had IB, WS longsleeve, WS hoodie and then ski jacket as layers – warm as toast.

My four-year old, Felix, tried out the chino pants in a lovely olive green, and the layered tee in red and stone. Both garments are superbly made, with excellent attention to detail, and from nice fabrics that a both hardwearing and comfortable – Felix doesn’t like scratchy labels etc but he was very happy with his outfit.
